Yokogawa Corporation of America is seeking a strategic Market Development Manager to join our Industry Marketing team. This position will be responsible for creating thought leadership and direction for our industrial automation business in the emerging Hydrogen Ecosystem.
As the Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities in hydrogen, developing market penetration strategies, and nurturing relationships to facilitate business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute market development plans effectively.
Responsibilities
Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and potential opportunities for growth. Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Market Strategy Development: Develop market entry and expansion strategies based on market analysis and business objectives. Create detailed plans outlining target markets, positioning strategies, and pricing strategies.
Business Development: Partner with the business development team to proactively identify and pursue new opportunities by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
Product Development Support: Work with product management teams to understand product capabilities and identify opportunities for product enhancements or new product development based on market needs and feedback.
Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and messaging strategies tailored to the target market. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize marketing efforts, drive brand awareness and increase lead generation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, business development, product management, and other regional affiliates, to align market development initiatives with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure seamless execution of market development plans.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of market development initiatives. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred

- Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated for success

- Have the desire to consume and share knowledge
- 3+ years of process industry experience
