Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a
Senior Cybersecurity Architect to support the Missile Defense Agency's System Integration, Test and Readiness (SITR) contract in Huntsville, AL. SITR is responsible for the overall Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Element engineering and integration, including physical and logical integration of the GMD Element and Components with the Missile Defense System. Cimarron's team members will be instrumental in ensuring the GMD Element of the Missile Defense System continues to provide safe, reliable and responsive capability to defend the U.S. homeland. Key Duties
- Develop and maintain secure system architectures to safeguard critical data and network infrastructures in the GMD test lab environment.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and weaknesses within the lab's systems, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, protocols, and standards that align with both regulatory requirements and the mission-critical nature of the GMD program.
- Oversee the design and execution of security testing activities, ensuring that systems adhere to DoD cybersecurity compliance standards, including RMF and NIST frameworks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on cybersecurity matters and lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or anomaly detection.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Active or Interim Secret Clearance or higher.
- In-depth knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework), NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Proven experience designing and implementing secure system architectures in complex, mission-critical environments.
- Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager).
- Strong experience leading security incident response efforts, including threat detection, forensics, and mitigation.
- Experience with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System.
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited school in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry) and 5 or more years of experience, or Master of Science and 3 or more years of experience.
Desired Skills, Experience, And Education
- Prior GMD program experience.
- Familiarity with the test lab environment, especially in ensuring systems are compliant with security requirements during testing phases.
- Experience in managing cybersecurity projects and leading teams through security initiatives.
