Job Summary: The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying prospective new customers, initiating conversations, and setting up meetings or appointments for the closing sales team. This role is critical in helping the company expand its customer base and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who is skilled at building relationships over the phone and via email.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect Identification: Research and identify potential clients through various channels including databases, One82 marketing campaigns, social media, and industry events.
- Outbound Communication: Initiate contact with new prospects via phone, email and social media to introduce the company’s products/services.
- Qualify Leads: Assess the prospect’s needs and interest in the company’s offerings to determine if they are a viable lead.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings or appointments for the sales team with qualified leads, ensuring that the prospect understands the value proposition.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospects in the company’s CRM system, ensuring data is up-to-date and organized.
- Follow-Up: Conduct timely follow-ups with prospects to keep them engaged until the appointment is confirmed.
- Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and provide feedback on lead quality.
- Performance Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including the number of calls made, emails sent, appointments set, and conversion rates.

Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully setting appointments or meeting sales quotas.
- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, Infusionsoft) and sales automation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with decision-makers at various levels.
- Strong listening skills to understand customer needs and pain points.
