- This position is full-time onsite, Monday – Friday, at the Peach Bottom Nuclear Generating Station.
Overview
Our client has nuclear plant data networks across 12 nuclear sites, and is seeking a System Administrator to support a Refresh Project involving an almost 1-for-1 replacement of old equipment with new, ensuring minimal disruption to the existing production systems. This is a project-based support role, and will involve hands-on installation work, with a strong emphasis on Windows enterprise server administration (2019+), networking (namely Cisco switches and firewalls (FTD and ASA), and VMware virtualization. The initial phase of the project involves six months of configuration and installation in a lab build environment. The System Administrator will be working closely with a seasoned Lead Analyst – who will provide direction on work that needs to be completed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of professional IT experience.
- Strong experience in Windows enterprise server administration.
- Strong networking experience in Cisco environments (routers, switches, and/or firewalls).
- Experience working in server virtualization using VMware or similar platform.
- Excellent communication skills with a can-do attitude.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher-level education.
- CCNA or higher-level certification.
- Experience configuring and administering Cisco firewalls (FTD and/or ASA).
- Experience configuring and administering Splunk or similar SIEM platform.
