Title: Network/Security Engineer
Duration: 12+ months contract
Location: Hybrid 2 days/ week in NYC (10019) with possible travel to the data center in Carlstadt, NJ (2x/year)
Industry: Financial Services
At least two years of experience configuring and managing enterprise networksand/orsecurity infrastructure.
Experience:
- Solid understanding of Routing & Switching technologies OR security infrastructure
- Experience working with Firewalls. Palo Alto a plus
- MACD work including patching and configuration of switchports
- Maintain inventory of network and telecom devices
- Monitor network/telecom infrastructure and work with vendors on related issues
- Apply best practice and necessary upgrades
- Respond & investigate to security alerts and apply corrective action
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of system ownership
Preferred:
Any EDR, MDR, SIEM experience (Big plus)
- Experience working with load balancers.
- Experience with proxy servers.
- Understanding of Cisco Wireless infrastructure
- Telephony support (Big plus)
- Experience with Networking in Cloud such as Azure.
- Vulnerability management
- Experience with packet sniffing and analyzing
- CCNA or any security certification
