Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer – Remote (West Coast Hours)

They specialize in augmenting existing IT resources for businesses with highly complex issues in the areas of Infrastructure Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing. We are currently looking for an exceptional senior team member with a broad skillset to join our client's growing services team. Who You Are (Prior Experience)
- 5+ years of architecting Microsoft Windows server and Active Directory environments.
- 3+ years of designing Azure IaaS and Azure Networking solutions.
- 3+ years of leading complex infrastructure projects from scoping to completion.
- 3+ years of writing purpose-built scripts for PowerShell.
- 5+ years of Level 3 technical support.
- A proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- A bachelor's degree (or higher).
- 2+ years of cybersecurity-related work.
- 3+ years of providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect
- CCNA, Network+
- PCNSE, Security+
Professional Skills Required
- Cloud: Solid understanding of Azure Cloud.
- OSes: Advanced knowledge of Windows servers.
- Scripting: Good PowerShell scripting skills.
- Virtualization: Knowledge of vSphere, Nutanix, or Hyper-V (CLI as well as GUI).
- Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting skills.
- Security: Good knowledge of security concepts, IAM, VPN, and NextGen firewalls.
- Backup and Recovery: Experience with backup and DR systems such as Veeam and Azure Site Recovery.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot problems solo and deliver solutions within a reasonable timeframe.
- Analytical Skills: Be able to look at complicated systems to find flaws or room for improvement.
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to ensure system compatibility and integration.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
- Lead well-planned infrastructure projects for various clients, managing vendors, engineers, and customer expectations from the scoping phase through delivery and follow-up.
- Design and deploy Azure infrastructure solutions and perform Azure and M365 migrations.
- Configure, debug, and support multiple infrastructure platforms, primarily Windows.
- Design, install, maintain, and monitor client infrastructure hardware and system software components.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot client systems and infrastructure platforms while making recommendations regarding their performance and scalability based on industry best practices.
- Perform high-level root cause analyses for service interruption recovery and creating preventative measures.
- Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, hubs, bridges, and routers.
- Provide routine maintenance of clients' systems such as system backups, system and network monitoring, server deployment, and performing updates.
- Collaborate with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical staff on project implementations, optimizations, and ongoing management.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for clients and projects.
- Be open to occasional after-hours and weekend work if necessary and be a part of an on-call rotation.

- Experience managing and deploying MDM/UDM/Endpoint management platforms.
- Experience working with Exchange Email servers and Exchange Online.
- Previous tenure at an MSP (Managed Services Provider).
