Utah Housing Corporation is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Infrastructure Team in a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have a four-year college degree in a related IT field and 5+ years of full-time experience in an enterprise IT environment. Experience managing direct reports is preferred.
A Day in the Life
In this role, the IT Manager will lead our small Infrastructure team, responsible for managing all aspects of infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity. The manager will ensure team members are effectively assigned tasks and making progress on projects. They will also promote excellent customer service by ensuring timely resolution of help desk tickets and develop metrics to drive continuous improvement.
The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, with strong interpersonal, communication, project management, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities include leading infrastructure and cybersecurity improvements, conducting regular disaster recovery and cybersecurity testing, and maintaining internal tools and systems.
The role involves collaborating with the Infrastructure team and other departments to identify needs, recommend solutions, and implement changes. You will coach and supervise direct reports, manage large IT projects, ensure data and network security, update IT policies and procedures, and train staff towards excellent customer service.
