About this role:
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for having a strong background in cloud computing technologies and a passion for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud solutions. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support our organization's growing needs.
In this role you will:
- Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs and develop scalable cloud architecture designs.
- Implement automation and orchestration techniques to streamline cloud provisioning, configuration, and management processes.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across all cloud environments.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and tools to enhance efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop documentation, guidelines, and training materials to support internal teams in utilizing cloud services effectively.
- Automate cloud deployments and optimize cloud resources for cost, performance and security.
- Integrate DevOps methodologies into cloud operations, improving deployment speed, scalability, and system reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for cloud-related incidents and emergencies.
Must haves:
- Strong “People First” interest and ability.
- Excellent understanding of modern endpoint provisioning and management tools and techniques
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated provisioning and configuration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Bonus Points For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
