Summary:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is leading the search for a growing manufacturing company based in Greensboro, NC. We are seeking a talented System Administrator that can lead the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the company's IT infrastructure. This position requires an individual with excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of servers, network devices, and other critical IT infrastructure components.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure systems are secure and up to date.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and configure LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure network security by implementing and managing security policies, monitoring for intrusions, and responding to security incidents.
- Develop, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and IT security best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in managing and configuring Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core network services.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Familiarity with IT security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and anti-virus solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience partnering with or working for an MSP.
- Proven ability to lead a technical team.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Relevant certifications including but not limited to: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar.
