Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking an API Security Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities:
- Function as member of an Agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
- Automate deployments in test or production environments
- Automatically scale applications based on demand projections
- Provides technical expertise to design integrations and automate solutions
- Provides technical support to Develop, Maintain, customize secure COTS products
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Professional certifications (CKA, CKAD, CISSP)
- Overall 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Prior Security experience
- Experience in Docker Containerization - understand how to containerize an application, write a docker file, pull an application from GitHub and containerize it
- Experience in Automation
- Experience with DevOps tools, GIT, SVN, Jenkins, JIRA, Rally
- Must have experience with more than one of the following scripting languages such as Chef, Puppet, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Shell Script, or JavaScript
- Experience with Go, Java, Kotlin
- Experience working with public cloud services (preferably AWS or GCP) and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure
- Full stack knowledge of application architectures including Single Page Applications, REST APIs
- Full stack knowledge or familiarity with database architectures including Postgres, NoSQL Databases
- Strong hands-on deployment and troubleshooting expertise working with private cloud (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Understanding of Splunk, ELK, Node.js, Java, JBoss, WAS, Ansible, Puppet, Cloud management and administration
- Self-directed, Confident Team Player
- Strong software development, problem solving and debugging skills
- Strong Technical Thinker
- Strong Planning, Execution and Collaborative skills
- Communication skills - good verbal and written communication skills; Ability to document risk and control summary artifacts that translates complex threat models into easy-to-read reports for the business
- Ability to conduct lead proof of concepts
- Ability to work with Infrastructures and Platforms including IaaS, PaaS, Cloud technologies and tools for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
