Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced VP of Sales to lead their multi-channel retail business in North America. This role is crucial in driving sustainable and profitable sales growth across the total Stanley portfolio. The ideal candidate will build and lead a team to ensure strong distribution and premium consumer experience within NA retailers both online and in-store. If you have experience in developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies, possess strong leadership skills, and can effectively collaborate across various functions, this role is an excellent fit for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute the vision, framework, and strategy to consistently acquire and grow Stanley revenue and profitability in North America
- Build and lead a high-performing strategic sales organization while influencing cross-functional teams to meet or exceed distribution and revenue targets
- Ensure Stanley has preferred and prominent in-store and digital space within strategic retailers to deliver a consistent and premium consumer experience
- Lead focus strategic accounts at multiple management levels within major customers with category support from the NAM team
- Develop annual and monthly sales plans in coordination with the Company's business plan
- Collaborate with Ecommerce team regarding customer-specific planning, strategy, content, analytics, and web technologies
- Work with Commercial & Marketing and other cross-functional teams in branding and positioning efforts to support the success of all Company products
- Devise and lead initiatives that benefit the retailer's sales and profitability and improve the consumer experience
- Operate within approved budgets, policies, and Brand Standards
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable
- 10+ years of growing sales leadership responsibility managing direct and indirect revenue with strategic multi-channel retailers both in-store and online
- 5+ years of senior leadership team experience and retail strategy development experience within the consumer packaged goods industry
- Strong history of developing, implementing, and executing online strategy and initiatives with key retailers
- Keen understanding and experience of assortment planning, merchandising, and consumer experience initiatives
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Experience in communicating and presenting at a senior executive and BOD director's level
- Proven high levels of integrity, initiative, honesty, and leadership
- Experience in retail, lifestyle, sporting goods, or consumer goods industries
- Proven outstanding account management skills with major strategic account customers
Compensation
- Competitive base salary range of $250,000 - $280,000, commensurate with experience
