As the Managing Director of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, you will serve as the CEO's right-hand person, charged with driving operational excellence through a creative lens. This leadership role will be the bridge between our visionary leadership and our day-to-day operations, ensuring that creativity is infused into every aspect of our business. With a keen understanding of our client needs and a passion for solving business problems through creative solutions, you will play a critical role in shaping the agency's future. Your leadership will inspire and empower teams across the organization, fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, and innovation.
Responsibilities include
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
- Implement and refine processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
- Ensure that creative excellence is maintained in all operational aspects, from client engagement to project delivery.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a "client whisperer," building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
- Understand client business challenges by walking the halls and leveraging creativity to develop innovative, hard-working solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex decisions with expertise and empathy.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Cultivate a culture of creativity, empathy, and innovation within the agency.
- Empower teams to work across a matrixed organization with ease, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
Strategic Vision and Execution:
- Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute the agency’s strategic vision and goals.
- Drive growth and innovation by identifying new opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Ensure that the agency’s creative output aligns with business objectives and client needs.
Creative Problem Solving:
- Lead the agency in solving complex business problems with creativity and strategic thinking.
- Encourage a mindset of continuous improvement and creative exploration within the organization.
- Foster a culture where creative ideas are valued, nurtured, and brought to life.
Cultural Stewardship:
- Lead with empathy, bringing people along on the journey towards achieving the agency’s vision.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture where all team members feel valued and heard.

Location
Given the nature of this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to New York City, in the near future (first 60 days of employment).
The annual salary range for this role begins at $350,000 and may vary depending on experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
