A leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington; DC is looking for an IT Manager. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced IT professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is passionate about technology and who is both a doer of work and has leadership qualities. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills, and a “jack of all trades, master of none” mentality, who is responsible and dependable. A successful candidate would be one that has been in a Tier 3 position, understands troubleshooting and the support of critical infrastructure, has participated in implementations of new technology, understands the importance of a security first organization, and can drive initiatives to a successful resolution. The DC area is preferred as that is where our production datacenter is located, but not required. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with outstanding communication skills, and a highly motivated problem solver who is reliable.
Duties Of The Position
- Manage the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, security, and support services.
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (i.e. GDPR, ISO, SOC2). The organization is currently ISO27001 certified but looking to add more certifications. Based on the work that we do, we interact with privacy regulations so any experience in this space is a plus but not required.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and/or audits to identify vulnerabilities, create action plans and execute on resolving said vulnerabilities.
- Respond to security alerts, manage incidents, and escalate to security vendors as needed.
- Point of contact for managing critical infrastructure to include Storage arrays, VMware virtualized infrastructure, remote access solutions, Firewalls, switches, Veeam, etc.
- Manage vendor relationships (IT vendor, Security Vendor, etc), and internal resources to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are up-to-date and tested annually.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions for a very dynamic environment.
- Support our main customer application at both the application level and infrastructure level.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
- Additional duties assigned by management that support IT, security, and compliance as a whole.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant IT or compliance certifications a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on infrastructure, troubleshooting, and security.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to IT and compliance principles.
- Understanding of how to develop and implement IT strategies and governance frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members and drive initiatives to successful completion.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure, applications, and security technologies.
Salary range ($110,000 - $140,000) dependent on candidate experience.
