Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive individual with a passion for cybersecurity and strong communication skills to assist in our lead qualification efforts. In this role, you will engage directly with key decision-makers, focusing on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to identify their challenges and introduce our solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity for motivated candidates to make a significant impact in the cybersecurity space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Utilize a combination of outbound calls, emails, social media, and industry events to identify and qualify potential leads interested in cybersecurity solutions.
- Prospecting: Research various industries and target audiences to customize outreach strategies and effectively engage decision-makers.
- Outbound Outreach: Initiate meaningful conversations with prospects to discuss their cybersecurity needs, positioning our solutions as ideal options.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions, activities, and opportunities within our CRM system for effective collaboration with the sales team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to hand off qualified leads and provide context to enhance the sales process.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and regulatory changes to engage prospects and address their evolving concerns.
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals for lead generation, prospect engagement, and opportunity conversion to support the sales team's success.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of sales or business development experience.
- Proficiency in consultative selling techniques with the ability to clearly articulate the value of offered solutions.
- Strong customer-focused mindset with the capability to manage objections effectively.
- Collaborative approach and adaptability to changing environments.
- Professional use of personal Facebook and LinkedIn for engaging with prospects.
Compensation And Benefits
- Base salary of $40,000 per year, with on-target earnings (OTE) exceeding $70,000.
- Commission-based incentives for quality appointments booked and clients closed.
- $50 per quality call booked and attended.
- 1% of total Closed Contract Value for every new client closed.

Location and Schedule
- Hybrid position based in Portland, with consideration for fully-remote candidates from the West Coast, particularly those with a proven remote sales background near the SF Bay area or Pacific Northwest.
- Full-time role with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time.
