The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our team! The CISO will oversee and manage the overall operations of the Security team, establishing strategic plans based on the corporate strategy, and inspire others to action through a compelling vision and strategic direction. They will design, implement, and evaluate information security and disaster recovery programs, promoting information security awareness within the NAIC.
The CISO reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
This is a full-time position, working a hybrid schedule based out of our Kansas City, Missouri office.
Responsibilities:
Attracts, develops, and retains talent, cultivates networks, and builds partnerships through strategic influence.
Coordinates with federal, state, public and private entities, including state insurance departments on matters of cybersecurity.
Participates in the review and acceptance of security risks for the organization, communicates risks to senior leadership and the board, and coordinates annual testing of the organization's security defense.
Travel:
This position requires regular, out-of-state, overnight travel in support of member meetings and events throughout the year. Must be able and willing to travel to locations throughout the United States and with such frequency as necessary to meet the needs of this position and the Association
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree and ten or more years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with enterprise security.
Preferred Experience:
Masters Degree
Compensation:
Starting at $201,161 up to $350,000 to be commensurate with experience and education.
