Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Interim Position
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (In-person)
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join a leading company on an interim basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company’s business objectives, ensuring that technology initiatives align with overall corporate goals.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of technology systems. Identify and address critical issues to maintain operational stability.
- Technology Innovation: Identify opportunities for technological innovation and implement solutions to enhance the company’s competitive edge. Drive initiatives that support business agility and growth.
- Partnership and Vendor Management: Evaluate and optimize relationships with technology partners and service providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet business needs.
- Policy and Governance: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain security and compliance. Establish governance frameworks that support efficient IT operations.
- Roadmap Development: Create and execute a strategic IT roadmap that outlines both short-term and long-term goals, focusing on innovation, scalability, and digital transformation.
- Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence. Identify skill gaps and implement training and development programs.
- Communication and Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between the IT department and other business units. Communicate complex technical concepts and strategic recommendations to senior executives and board members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as CIO, CTO, or IT Director.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale IT initiatives and manage cross-functional teams. Experience in mentoring and developing IT professionals.
- Vendor Management: Experience in evaluating and managing service providers to ensure they meet the organization’s quality and cost standards.
- Strategic Vision: Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement IT strategies that drive business success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong presentation capabilities.
