Information Security Analyst
This job is responsible for supporting Global Information Security (GIS) functions by analyzing, researching, improving, defining, implementing, and executing information security controls and standards. Key responsibilities include developing an understanding of the business, following standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data, and supporting team members in performing specialized GIS functions. Job expectations include partnering with teams to provide blended security and business insights to ensure appropriate management of information security risks.
Required Skills:
• Information Security Regulation Standards experience
• Issue/Risk Management coordination and remediation
• Must be able to identify, analyze and address problems to resolve issues whenever possible in way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization
• A broad knowledge of information security principles (e.g. access control)
• Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking
• Effective communication skills
• Familiarity with NIST/ISACA frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or commensurate experience
• Systems analysis - understand current solution/capability portfolio; specify function/non-function requirements
• Understand GIS policy and mappings
• Understand change control/change management processes
• Previous risk management experience and sound knowledge of financial statements is desirable
• Technical writing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels (i.e. colleagues to senior management) and situations (i.e. one-on-one to presentations).
• Experience in implementation of information security strategy, including compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail in work as well as the ability to remain calm and flexible in the face of increased demands, changing priorities and uncertain environment
• Ability to take ownership of an initiative/issue thru completion
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Should be comfortable working with incomplete facts, be able to quickly rationalize and drive clarity, translate to actionable tasks, and demonstrate tenacity by working assigned tasks through to completion.
• Effectively communicates investigative findings to non-technical audiences
• Ability to interact with and lead discussions with senior Bank executives across different functions and lines of business.
• Analyze data and evaluate relevance to a specific incident under investigation.
• Completing written reports in compliance with current reporting procedures and policies.
• Document each stage of the investigation and maintain a focus on case logs and details.
• Experience writing detailed, concise, and accurate reports.
• Foundational knowledge in incident response.
• Experience working effectively across a complex organization that is geographically dispersed.
