Key Responsibilities
- Make an Impact: Enhance security platforms and support various production environments with a proactive, responsive, and preventative approach.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal security and production support teams to resolve issues, manage daily requests, and engage in special projects.
- Security Focus: Troubleshoot and manage security incidents while cross-training on platforms such as Tripwire, Guardium, and StealthAudit.
- Independent Work: Take initiative in managing tasks, from triaging security agents to creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Support and Guidance: Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and expertise to facilitate their growth.
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Background in operating systems, production support, networking concepts, and data structures. Proficient in SQL queries, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, BASH), and tools like Splunk.
- Collaboration Skills: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and security, to ensure efficient application operation.
- Documentation: Ability to create and manage technical documentation, including procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Experience: Familiarity with BladeLogic, Ansible, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), as well as experience with StealthAudit, Guardium, or similar tools is advantageous.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capability to conduct root cause analysis and lead responses to high-priority security issues.
Educational Background
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with an advanced degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant infrastructure experience, ideally within the securities or financial services sector.
