THE ROLE
The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and maintain a high-performing organization- wide information technology system that enables our business strategies, optimizes user access to systems and tools, and supports a data-driven culture. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for leading and motivating a team comprised of an IT Operations Manager, a Technical Support Specialist and an out-sourced Managed Services partner that, together, design and implement best practice approaches to our Information Systems capabilities. As a Security Officer, this position is responsible for the security of our systems and data.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and vision and oversee the management of all Information Technology operations in 4 offices as well as in a hybrid, remote-work environment.
- Develop Information Systems’ short-term and long-term strategy, in partnership with the CFO and VP of Data Analytics and Strategic Insights and implement and maintain all components of the strategy in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Run a highly reliable, secure and cost-effective information system infrastructure including developing KPI’s for monitoring, analyzing and identifying improvement areas. Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement solutions.
- Manage TFI’s hardware and software environment, including asset management, implementation of new technology solutions and managing the help desk.
- Safeguard security of TFI systems and data and monitor advancements in information security and system technologies to optimize, ensure compliance, and best practices.
- Manage identity and access management systems.
- Build strong technology vendor partnerships to ensure best performance and effective financial return.
- Build upon IT Departmental policies and systems to ensure the security and reliability of our information, including ensuring disaster recovery systems are in place and operating effectively.
- Conduct internal and external IT risk evaluations for the organization to gauge compliance levels, such as adherence to HIPAA standards, and based on these findings, initiate enhancements to the IT services and suitable monitoring actions.
- Keep current with the latest trends and issues in the IT industry, including current and emerging technologies.
- Identify when technology upgrades are needed.
- Partner with the Strategic Analytics team to support our data analysis and business intelligence goals.
Summary Of Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with server, storage, and network security systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and its applications, and Azure Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of Information Security Systems and HIPAA protocols.
- Strength in problem solving, collaboration and communication skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices and project life cycles preferred.
MINIMUM HIRING SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, Management or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Continuing education in technology advancements required. Advanced degree in related field preferred.
- 8+ years of proven work experience in information systems and technology with a strong preference for experience in project management and healthcare.
- Experience managing teams, vendors, and budgets.
