Fusion Solutions is looking for Network Engineer III for Charter Communications / Spectrum Wireless in Denver, CO. These are contract positions. Candidate must be local to CO area or willing to relocate for work.

Title: Network Engineer III – (Contract to Hire role)
Pay Rate: $36.00/hr W2 + $36.00/hr per diem – Total: $72/hr
(for non-locals that are eligible) or, if local: $67.00/hr W2
Location: Englewood, CO
Project Start: September 2024
Duration: Long Term Contract with possible contract to hire
Engineers needed: 1
Schedule: 4 days of work is on-site and 1 day work-from-home every week.
Scope of Work:
- Plans and implements enterprise networks and related hardware and software.
- Designs and documents network architecture.
- Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
- Establishes security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters.
- Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
- Tests and tunes security devices and systems.
- Programs routers and switches.
- Implements communications technologies (data or voice).
- Manages network services from planning phase through implementation.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.
- 5- 10 years of experience.
Additional Skillsets being sought:
- Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards
- Working knowledge of CMTS platforms including:
- Casa C100G
- Arris E6000
- Cisco cBR8
- RPHY
- Harmonic vCMTS and RPDs
- Working knowledge of EPON platforms including: ADTRAN 95XX and SDX-6210
- Working knowledge of Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture SF-4x, SC-2D3
- Working knowledge of switch platforms including: Cisco NCS/ASR, Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX
- Working knowledge of routing protocols including: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, v4/v6 Multicast,
- Ability to write technical documentation
- Ability to write and follow detailed technical test plans
- Will work with theSteam Team - More mid/Sr level. Ambitious people
- Needs broader experience – a jack of all trades

- Hiring Manager is not worried about degrees, he would like to see a candidate with practical experience, like to see people who are going after relevant certs.
- Will work with the customer and do a lot of follow up on what he/she is really wanting – dive in and ask questions.
- Will do triaging and troubleshooting – this position is heavy troubleshooting and support.
- Willing to grow more mid-level folks and grow their Docsis skills.
- They will build out environments in the lab (i.e. get modems online) Field Technician works well for this role.
- Building out RF networks, testing RF, needs to have experience configuring devices.
- They will start with level 1 activities (making coax cables, making Cat 6, 7, cables, wiring, measuring levels to ensure they are compliant with the meter, etc.) and ramp them up to do things the Fire/Expert team does.
- Lab experience is ideal but not required
- CMTS required for this one
