Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Director of IT to lead the technology strategy and operations within our organization. This role will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of IT systems, ensuring they align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT leadership, project management, and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy to support business growth and operations, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, including network, servers, security, and enterprise applications.
- IT Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and best practices. Develop policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain data privacy and security.
- Budgeting and Vendor Management: Manage the IT budget, negotiate with vendors, and oversee technology purchases, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value delivery.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages skill development and professional growth.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the company’s digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Project Management: Manage IT projects, including software implementations, hardware upgrades, and process improvements, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of disruptions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to identify technology needs and deliver IT solutions that drive business success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in IT strategy development, infrastructure management, and team leadership.
- Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software applications and network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage large-scale IT projects, meet deadlines, and work within a defined budget.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL.
- Experience with ERP systems, data analytics platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain.
