Description
We are in search of a Network Engineer to join our team in CHARDON, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This includes working with technologies such as Palo Alto, Panorama, Prisma, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and improving the efficiency of current networks
- Configuring network devices for deployment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Utilizing network protocols such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for optimal network performance
- Applying understanding of Cisco ASA and Checkpoint to ensure secure network systems
- Troubleshooting network issues and outages and scheduling upgrades
- Conducting AB testing for system improvements and updates
- Managing the Palo Alto Firewall and Prisma environment to ensure network security
- Overseeing data center management and ensuring high availability of network access
- Conducting configuration management to improve network performance
- Ensuring all hardware and computer components are working optimally in the network system.
Requirements
- Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a related role.
- Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is required.
- Familiarity with Checkpoint systems and processes is mandatory.
- Demonstrable experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies is essential.
- Knowledge in AB Testing is necessary.
- The candidate should have an understanding of Computer Hardware.
- Experience in Configuration Management is expected.
- The applicant must have worked in a Datacenter environment.
- Experience in Deployments is required.
- Proficiency in Palo Alto Firewall and Prisma systems is a must.
- An ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently is needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and attention to detail are crucial.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary.
- Professional certifications related to Network Engineering are desirable.
- The candidate must be willing to continually update knowledge and skillset in line with technological advancements in the industry.
- A strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware is expected.
