Hirewell has been exclusively retained by a leading Real Estate Owner & Developer to lead the search for a Vice President of Capital Markets & Acquisitions This position, which needs to be held in North Carolina, is responsible for building relationships with Equity / Debt Brokers, Lending Institutions to raise capital, in addition to working with traditional debt sources to fund commercial real estate acquisitions. They will work closely with the Investment Committee and internal Development and Acquisition Teams to ensure that the company has the financial resources it needs to achieve its strategic objectives. Ideal candidates will have a background in Capital Markets across multiple asset classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s capital markets strategy, focusing on debt and equity structuring for new and existing properties.
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial brokers, institutions, investors, and other capital partners.
- Coordinate due diligence activities, including legal and financial reviews, to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with the Investment Committee and Acquisitions Team, and lenders to create project proposals and financial models.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with investors and lenders to secure funding for future acquisitions.
- Ensure that all reporting requirements are met, and all documents are properly filed and maintained.
- Monitor the performance of funded acquisitions and provide regular reports to lenders, and senior management.
- Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and stay up to date with industry trends and developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Several years of experience in commercial real estate capital raising
- Strong understanding of real estate financial modeling and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of successfully raising capital for commercial real estate projects and managing financial operations.
- Strong leadership, management, and negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with investors and lenders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
