Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Technician to join our team and provide exceptional technical support to end users in an enterprise-level environment. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Offer comprehensive telephone and desk-side technical support to customers, addressing issues related to software applications, networking, and remote access.
- Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, diagnose, repair, and upgrade servers, computer hardware, and related equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Issue Resolution: Document reported issues and their resolutions in a ticketing system for future reference and tracking.
- PC Maintenance: Support and maintain PC hardware and software, including setting up new computers, imaging, software installation, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Network Support: Provide support for LAN/WAN systems using TCP/IP connectivity to maintain network integrity.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Certifications: Security+ certification is required. Candidates should also hold or be able to obtain either Server+ or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate within six months of hire.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing desktops and laptops, with a strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 8⁄10 for PCs and Windows Server 2012⁄2016).
- Network and Configuration Knowledge: Experience with Windows PC and server configuration and integration is essential. Familiarity with Remedy or similar ticketing systems is preferred.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle high-priority issues and effectively interact with clients across various organizational levels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding oral communication and customer service skills are a must.
- Adaptability: Versatility and flexibility to work within constantly changing priorities.
- Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
