Description
We are in the market for a Systems Administrator to join our team in the financial services industry, based in Parsippany, New Jersey. The selected candidate will be instrumental in supporting our infrastructure, troubleshooting server environments, and maintaining our backup structure.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in an active directory environment
- Troubleshoot and maintain windows server environment
- Support and maintain current infrastructure in a vxrail/vmware environment
- Keep the current backup structure updated and efficient using Veeam/Zerto
- Manage a mix of ubiquiti and hp switches
- Leverage SonicWALL or similar firewall experience for system security
- Handle Ubiquiti switches, access points, and cloudkey's
- Conduct upgrade/maintenance projects and patches as necessary
- Manage users in a multi-tenant environment with Office 365 - adding domains and transitioning from Gmail or other hosted providers to our managed Office 365 tenant
- Understand and maintain DNS (internal and external)
- Showcase familiarity with SQL server and databases
- Oversee SharePoint file storage and data migration from disparate system
- Provide end-user support for all aspects of IT, including recording, tracking, and documenting all support information within our ticketing system
- Set up new computers, users, and provide systems training
- Display ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware/software
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role within the Financial Services industry
- Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Cloud Technologies, and Database management
- Expertise in Dell Technologies, AB Testing, and Active Directory
- Experience in Backup Technologies, Cluster Analysis, and Computer Hardware
- Strong knowledge of Cyber Security and VMware
- Proven track record in Desktop Support
- Ability to maintain, upgrade, and manage software, hardware, and networks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certification in Systems Administration or similar field is a plus
- Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve any IT issues in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on deadlines
- Proven ability to maintain and monitor computer networks and systems
- Must be able to ensure the smooth running of IT systems, ensuring users get maximum benefits from them.
