Description
You will play a crucial role in managing multiple current and future IT infrastructure projects while adhering to project management governance. This position involves generating project schedules, identifying staffing needs, procuring vendor products and implementation services, and submitting funding requests as necessary. You will manage delivery efforts and report the status of each project to OCIO Leadership. Conducting project meetings and ensuring adherence to quality standards and project deliverables will also be part of your responsibilities. As a member of the PMO team, you will oversee all aspects of IT project governance, assessment, management, and control.
Your ability to gather and define requirements, build project plans, identify resource needs, and communicate transparently across all levels of stakeholders will be essential. You must also be adept at multitasking amidst continually changing priorities as directed by Leadership in response to departmental and legislative changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboratively define and drive product strategy, vision, and roadmap, evangelizing to all teams, partners, and users of our platforms.
- Quickly understand specific domains and identify trends and opportunities.
- Work with the team to drive product definition, design, and prototyping processes to discover customer problems and create valuable solutions.
- Define and prioritize a backlog for your product that continuously delivers measurable value towards the vision.
- Innovate and iterate on agile product management processes and share insights.
- Bring clarity where there is uncertainty, manage risk, and continuously deliver value.
- Define experiments, measure success metrics, and use data to inform decisions.
- Bridge business goals, user needs, and feasibility in product design and delivery.
- Facilitate discussions with groups as large as an executive conference room, ensuring all voices are heard.
- Create a backlog, write user stories, and manage releases.
- Break down complex problems into actionable steps with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to teach others.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other partners.
- Navigate complex decision-making processes while focusing on data-driven approaches to problem-solving.
- Maintain functional knowledge of SOC-2, ISO, and FedRAMP certifications.
Required Skills
- Direct management of system integration projects (8+ years required).
- Experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities (8+ years required).
- Familiarity with project governance structures, including methodologies and reporting (8+ years required).
- Extensive experience in planning, managing, and tracking multiple major impact projects (8+ years required).
- Proven track record in building successful product teams and shipping products, including defining vision and strategy (8+ years required).
- Strong process and gap analysis skills (8+ years required).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage changing priorities (6+ years required).
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting business requirements (6+ years required).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities while meeting deadlines.
