JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Infrastructure Director will be supporting a 10-hospital health system and will be responsible for designing the deferred maintenance strategy, developing and leading the execution of the annual capital infrastructure plan, and managing operational policies such as maintenance contracts & staffing analyses. Additionally, the Infrastructure Director will be responsible for managing facility software such as the space planning and e-Builder project management platforms. The Infrastructure Director will play a crucial role in developing high-level presentations for C-suite leaders for all strategic FM initiatives and must be knowledgeable, experienced, and fully fluent in developing critical infrastructure renewal strategies throughout health systems. The Infrastructure Director will manage a team of project managers to execute all infrastructure projects across the health system and will be responsible for overseeing the project management lifecycle including project planning, RFP process, master agreement execution, project budgeting, scheduling, and the close-out process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute condition assessments of infrastructure equipment to drive the annual capital plan
- Lead team of in-house assessors to coordinate condition assessments on equipment and develop RFPs from the assessment findings
- Solicit feasibility studies, designs, and cost estimates from contractors and design firms to package project scope, schedule, and budget
- Deliver capital allocation recommendations based on lead times, construction schedules and costs
- Ensure capital investment strategy aligns with health system initiatives and local hospital priorities
- Develop benchmarks from condition assessment data across the health system to present to senior leadership
- Evaluate in-house trades staff and purchased services models across the health system to develop staffing recommendations to local hospital leadership. Analyses encompass staffing needs, skillsets, labor costs and contract costs
- Manage all system-wide maintenance contracts through the RFP process, master agreement execution, and maintain vendor relations throughout the length of the contract
- Identify and develop a corrective action plan for quality and service issues for service contracts as needed
- Manage e-Builder software for project management tracking and reporting
- Manage and grow the online platform for space planning, integrating life safety drawings, asset mapping, and space utilization features used by facilities, safety and finance leaders
- Train Crothall teams and hospital end-users on the e-Builder and space planning platform

- Identify "hot spots" and program issues to be included in the Regional Director’s presentations
- Collaborates with Regional Director to appropriately coordinate and implement strategic goals
- At the discretion of the Division Vice President, provides as needed support including survey, start up, marketing/sales, and operations etc. in Facilities Management for the Division
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of project and asset management, overseeing multiple services within the critical infrastructure environment
- Experience managing teams
- Must be able to analyze large data sets and communicate complex, technical data in a clear and concise manner
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions orally and in writing
- Must be advanced in Microsoft applications
