Scope
Boise Cascade is seeking a highly motivated leader for the Director of Corporate IT. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role leading the company’s IT functions and participating in the organization-wide business planning to bring current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems to the organization. This position will involve demonstrating leadership and expertise for business technology initiatives, managing business and technology teams, overseeing service providers and managing positive relationships, and developing the overall talent management efforts within the Corporate IT team.
Responsibilities
- Leadership of the company's information technology (IT) functions including direction and control of enterprise applications and systems deployment, production support, data and integration management, network systems, hardware acquisition, endpoint infrastructure (including voice and mobile), and data processing operations (on-premises and public cloud).
- Oversight responsibility for the Company’s digital strategy initiatives, including current knowledge and future vision of value-add technologies to the organization.
- Consistent collaboration and influence with business IT teams responsible for business-specific applications to ensure performance, results, and compliance with established standards.
- Provide direction and oversight for the company’s IT Security Program to ensure on-premises and public cloud security solutions support the company’s compliance and security standards.
- Oversee the cybersecurity awareness team’s efforts to promote awareness and provide training across the company.
- Ensure integrity of data, proprietary information, related intellectual property through information security, cybersecurity awareness, access management, data privacy, and oversight of IT audit, policy and compliance requirements.
- Develops IT policy, establishes guidelines/standards, sets objectives, participates in broader IT strategy development and deployment with senior leadership.
- Direct reporting and leadership responsibilities for a team of approximately forty associates
- Create, promote, and enforce department and functional strategies and procedures.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience leading information technology functions, business transformation initiatives, and/or major development programs
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant field of study
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or building materials industry
- Proven experience in vendor management and process improvement
- Certification(s) in IT governance, security, operations, and/or control
