Description:
Optomi, in partnership with one of our leading clients, are seeking an energetic and up-beat IT Support Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be employee number one for their sister company's IT Department. Your responsibilities will include hiring/firing of support/helpdesk employees, overseeing daily IT operations, managing service requests through Jira IT Service Management, and administering MS Office 365 and SharePoint. This would be a fully remote role, however the client is looking for this candidate to be located in Dallas, Texas just in case they need to come on site for an issue. The client is looking for this person to be employed with the company forever, however you would be starting on a 6 month long contract to hire beforehand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT service management using Jira IT Service Management (user experience required; admin experience is a plus).
- Administer and support MS Office 365, ensuring smooth operation and user support.
- Create, manage, and maintain SharePoint sites.
Must-Haves:
- 3-5 years of experience managing an IT support team.
- Experience with Jira IT Service Management.
- 3-5 years of MS Office 365 administration experience.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude.
- Experience with SharePoint authoring and administration.
Nice to Have:
The client is essentially looking for a hands on manager, who has experience managing multiple direct reports in a Jira/Microsoft environment.
