PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $122,000.00-$149,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $94,500.00 - $176,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Impact You’ll Make
As a Senior Systems Analyst (SSA) at BECU, you'll be at the heart of our technological evolution, working closely with leaders and engineering teams to transform end-user needs into functional system designs. You'll fine-tune these requirements, develop detailed design specifications, and identify the most effective technical solutions. Your expertise will guide complex projects that span across the organization, and you'll play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert, mentoring other Systems Analysts throughout our technology division. What You’ll Do
- Lead Product/Program Development: Spearhead the creation of business cases, focusing on reducing technical debt, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering essential business features. You'll be instrumental in identifying and proposing viable technology solutions.
- Collaborate on Roadmaps and Goals: Partner with Product Owners, decision-makers, and end-users to define and document roadmap and sprint-level goals, requirements, user stories, and outcomes. You’ll manage the entire process across your team, ensuring clear communication and alignment through coordinated workshops, use cases, and process models.
- Oversee Complex Software Platforms: Manage software platforms critical to business, financial, product, and compliance requirements. This includes overseeing configuration, data management, user permissions, workflows, reporting, upgrades, and processing to ensure smooth operations.
- Refine Requirements: Analyze and fine-tune complex requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure all aspects of the project align with business needs and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with Vendors: Translate functional specifications to vendor requirements, coordinate their delivery, and manage relationships to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Support Testing and Implementation: Lead the refinement of technical solutions, manage test plans, and facilitate the resolution of identified bugs. Oversee user acceptance testing and secure sign-off from business partners.
- Manage Application Lifecycle: Handle the installation of application patches, configuration, and enhancements across development, testing, disaster recovery, and production systems, all while adhering to IT Change Control guidelines. Develop disaster recovery plans and support the operational lifecycle of applications and services.
- Document and Communicate: Develop and maintain clear communication channels between end-users, vendors, and IT departments to swiftly resolve any issues in production or development environments.
- Mentor and Lead: Guide and mentor less experienced team members, sharing your knowledge on systems, configurations, and tools to elevate the entire team’s capabilities.
- Security and Compliance Oversight: Ensure that cybersecurity practices and policies are rigorously followed within your program portfolio.
- Stay Ahead of Change: Keep up with significant change management initiatives, assess organizational impacts, and present your insights to leadership to help guide decision-making.
- Technical Documentation: Create, iterate, and maintain technical documentation that aligns with software changes, ensuring everyone involved has access to accurate, up-to-date information.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical/related discipline required, or equivalent work or education related experience.
- Minimum seven years of experience working with business software applications.
- Experience with SQL and various relational database concepts and languages including multiple methods for analyzing, reporting, and validating data at the source (eg. SQL queries)
- Experience developing and delivering the full system development life cycle and its various phases (including user story creation, test planning, test execution, CICD pipeline support, production implementation and break-fix production issue resolution)
- Experience in managing solutions delivered in multiple programming languages and technical environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in managing, analyzing, optimizing ACH payment processes.
- Experience in back-office operations, Money movement, Payments, Checks
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, JIRA or other Agile development team tools.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Have a working knowledge of theory and usage of Cloud Computing
- Strong with multiple change approaches from Agile, Lean, TDD, Waterfall, etc. and understand the proper use and application of each approach
- Understanding of software engineering vocabulary and data architecture
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify problems from a functional perspective, specifically when supporting end-user testing and training. Includes proficient use of such tools as Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule and implement projects and in accordance with BECU and industry project management methodologies.
- Manage time and balance multiple priorities with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to change and ambiguous situations.
- Capable of influencing with authority, project self-confidence and management presence.
- Strong interpersonal skills that build rapport and relates well with all levels of the Credit Union.
- Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response
- Demonstrated experience with multiple methods for creating and communicating strong business cases, including financial analysis, strategic alignment and risk analysis
- Ability to remain informed about the events, trends and developments which affect your role, business area(s) and the Information Technology industry.
