The Director, Identity Access Management (IAM) will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s IAM program. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and leadership to ensure that IAM initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and extensive experience in IAM and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Enterprise and Customer IAM that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage IAM projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of IAM technologies and tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand and address IAM needs and challenges.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IAM team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Manage the IAM program budget, optimizing costs and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor and respond to IAM related security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in IAM and cybersecurity.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of IAM controls and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science (preferred), information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent.
- At least 7+ years’ experience in information security, application development and IAM.
- At least 2 years’ experience with operations and security across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expected to hold one or more security certifications relevant to the position, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH),
- Computer Security Incident Handler (CSIH), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- AWS or Azure Architect or Security certifications
- Experience in cloud networking architecture and cloud operations.
- IDAM experience, including OAuth and OpenID.
- Experience and understanding of various regulatory requirements and laws, including but not limited to: Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Knowledge of National Institute of Standards (NIST) or International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Excellence in communicating business risk and remediation requirements from assessments.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Highly organized and efficient.
- Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking, along with decision-making skills and business acumen.
