Position: Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO)/IT Manager

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a IT Manager in a 1 day a week capacity who will serve as a strategic advisor to our customer and will be responsible for both macro-level IT strategy and micro-level operational support. This role is ideal for a consultant with a flexible schedule who can work part-time to triage small IT events while providing direction for long-term technology goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic insights and recommendations on the direction of IT initiatives, aligning technology goals with business objectives.
- Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day IT operations, including triaging and resolving small IT events and issues as they arise.
- Technology Assessment: Develop and implement a health checklist for the IT environment to proactively identify and mitigate issues.
- Staff Augmentation: Collaborate with existing teams and external firms to ensure efficient staffing solutions for ongoing IT needs.
- Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related inquiries, facilitating communication between stakeholders and technical teams
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with IT vendors, including the evaluation of quotes and proposals for services such as cybersecurity analysis and hardware replacements
- Contract Management: Manage the scope of work within defined budgets, tracking hours and deliverables against contractual agreements.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge base of most of the following: Duo, Crowdstrike, Arctic Wolf, MFA, Azure, Cisco, Fortinet
- Proven experience as a CIO, vCIO, or in a similar IT leadership role.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, cybersecurity, and technology infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT challenges.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
The role is designed for a flexible consultant, with an expected engagement of up to 20 hours per month or 1 Day per week.
