We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Security Analystfor a long term contract opportunity with a state agency here in Austin, TX with a hybrid work setting of 2 days onsite per week.
**To be considered, you must currently reside in the Austin, TX Metropolitan area.**
The primary role for this position will be reviewing, evaluating, and communicating secure configuration baselines according to agency processes. If you are selected for this position, your duties will also include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Using established benchmarks such as CIS, DISA STIG, etc. to determine risks to the Client's systems for non-compliant controls.
- Supporting the implementation of computer system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
- Assisting with refining processes and procedures for accomplishing established workflows.
- Researching device and system component documentation for best practices for management.
- Documenting non-compliance with agency standard configurations and communicates risk to key stakeholders.
- Documenting findings against information systems and assist owners with development of remediation plans.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 8 yrs. Knowledge/experience with common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), and Texas Information Security Standards.
- 8 yrs. Knowledge/experience with common security benchmarks such as DISA STIG, CIS, SANS, etc.
- Current Resident of the Austin Metropolitan area
