Paid Time Off
AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
Position Summary
The
System Administrator / NOC Engineer is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting systems to ensure the performance, reliability, and capacity of AMSURG’s IT infrastructure; including but not limited to system backups, network uptime, and system health.
Work Schedule
This position is offered on a Remote-Centric Hybrid basis with the expectation that you will be required to attend onsite bi-weekly meetings. Our office is located in the Green Hills section of Nashville.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities - Oversee and manage regular system backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and implement backup policies and procedures.
- Monitor backup jobs for failures and perform corrective actions.
- Conduct regular restore tests to verify backup reliability.
- Monitor network performance and promptly identify and troubleshoot network outages.
- Collaborate with NOC team to develop and implement incident response strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams during network outages to provide status updates and estimated resolution times.
- Document all network incidents, root cause analyses, and preventive measures.
- Perform regular health checks on servers to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage server updates, patches, and configurations to maintain security and functionality.
- Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on servers.
- Maintain an inventory of server assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries related to system backups, network performance, and server health.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to system administration.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of NOC operations.
- Interface with other internal teams, vendors, and consultants to review and implement system changes.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

- Set up, configure, and support internal and external networks.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 4 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with setup, repair and modification of Windows PC desktops and laptops, printers and other peripherals
- Broad knowledge of Windows Desktop/Server operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals. Experience in a Help Desk/Desktop/Server Support environment.
