Description
Are you passionate about maintaining and optimizing network systems? This role involves ensuring the stable operation of our computer network, telephony, video surveillance, and backup infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse systems including wired/wireless networks, UCS, SAN/NAS storage, and Veeam backup solutions.
As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure and communication systems. You will also play an essential role in developing and implementing policies that align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning
- Design and manage network, telephony, surveillance, and backup infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training for network and telephony systems.
- Lead the strategy for public and private network security, including encryption, DNS, and DMZ architecture.
- Acquisition & Deployment
- Deploy and maintain hardware and equipment for network, telephony, and video surveillance systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to secure necessary network and telephony services.
- Conduct research to support procurement and network development initiatives.
- Operational Management
- Oversee security solutions such as DNS, VPN, and DMZ architectures, along with network monitoring and event logging.
- Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, IP/analog cameras, UCS, SAN/NAS, and telephony systems.
- Administer Cisco IP telephony, voicemail, and UCS environments.
- Ensure reliable network connectivity for all workstations and devices.
- Perform regular network performance monitoring and generate reports.
- Recommend and execute network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Support cybersecurity and data privacy initiatives to keep our systems secure.
Qualifications
- Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or related field); OR associate degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Network+, or equivalent are required.
- Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive experience with Cisco network, telephony, UCS, and video surveillance systems.
- Strong understanding of network-based security technologies (firewalls, DNS, VPNs, etc.).
- Solid technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Proven hands-on experience troubleshooting network and telephony hardware/software.
- Familiarity with remote support tools for end-user troubleshooting.

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $83,315 annually (commensurate with experience).
- Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week.
