Manages the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the servers and storage, terminals as well as server applications and software (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle). Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades server operating systems. Manage capacity planning.
As a Storage Administrator, your focus will be maintaining, deploying, and upgrading storage and backup solutions at Nasdaq. You will have the opportunity to work closely with your colleagues in North America as well as other Nasdaq teams in various countries!
- Design, develop, troubleshoot and implement storage and backup solutions both on-prem and cloud based.
- Maintain, upgrade, and monitor San switching technology from Brocade.
- Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and upgrades of storage and backup technologies.
- Proactively determine and resolve potential problems/issues including working with other internal technology departments within Nasdaq as well as external storage and backup support providers.
- Under direct supervision, administer and maintain security of operating systems following established policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Storage Administrator.
- Experience with Hitachi, NetApp, and Pure storage administration utilities and tools.
- Expertise with SAN storage solutions from Brocade (SANNAV and FabricOS).
- Expertise on Veritas NetBackup server and client administration.
- Understanding of HA/ failover for storage controllers and fabrics.
- Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, MIS or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience Required: At least year 2-3 years

The base pay range for this role is $51,900 - $86,600. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
