Job Title: Corporate Security Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and develop security staff, ensuring training, evaluation, and compliance with policies.
- Manage and maintain the organization's physical security program for efficient and safe operations.
- Administer all physical security aspects to protect employees and assets, including executive protection and system management (alarms, video, access control).
- Identify, assess, report, and mitigate security threats, including violence.
- Act as liaison during bank robberies, providing staff training and coordinating with law enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws on workplace violence, money laundering, and other regulations.
- Promote a positive work environment through skill development, coaching, and morale-building.
- Analyze and optimize security procedures for efficiency.
- Address and resolve employee and member security issues.
- Collaborate with law enforcement on fraud investigations and provide trial support.
- Ensure branch compliance with security programs, conducting assessments for new locations.
- Negotiate and manage security vendor contracts, ensuring quality service.
- Investigate workplace violence and fraud incidents, and administer relevant policies.
- Lead security training, emergency response, and safety drills for employees.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that impact the credit union’s security.
- Build external partnerships with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on regulations, managing risks to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years in management roles within a financial institution, overseeing Physical/Corporate Security, Threat Management, Risk Management, or Loss Prevention. Familiarity with institution operations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficient with database programs, financial calculators, computers, and banking equipment. Strong ethics, professionalism, and ability to lead cross-functional projects. Expertise in security, fraud prevention, and risk management.
Desired Qualifications:
Nice to have experience in Mortgage / Banking domain.
Location: This is 100% onsite Role (Sacramento, CA)
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110000 – $120000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
