Job Purpose:
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) plays a pivotal role as an IT liaison to the business, addressing evolving needs and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both IT and business processes, skilled in gathering business requirements and converting them into actionable projects or change requests that create measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates and delivers effective written and verbal project status reports
- Proactively engages stakeholders, providing timely, relevant, and transparent project status
- Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Audit, Tax, to serve as a strategic partner. Understand their needs and direction, develop and maintain strategic portfolio roadmaps, and facilitate annual and ongoing budget planning
- Conduct Operations Reviews with each business area and IT, utilizing KPIs and roadmap planning
- Act as the primary liaison for the Finance business across IT disciplines (architecture, infrastructure, software development, and technology). Identify and engage the appropriate IT teams for projects, support, and technology deliverables
- Lead as the main point of contact for Finance and Tax Senior Directors and Vice Presidents.
- Manage overall corporate applications budget
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a business relationship management role, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing industries
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple business portfolios, oversee product roadmaps, track release management, and handle funding and appropriation requests
- Strong financial expertise, including knowledge of Corporate Finance, Consolidation, Planning, Treasury, Tax, and Audit processes
- Experience in managing budget forecasts and actuals, ensuring financial alignment with business goals
