The IT System Administrator is responsible for oversight and management of the company’s information technology systems and services. This includes responsibilities such as implementing and supporting technology strategies, managing the deployment and maintenance of hardware and software systems, and ensuring data security and privacy. The goal is to align technology with the organization's overall business objectives, and to provide efficient, effective, and reliable IT support to the organization.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and server hardware.
- Onboard employees by setting up new equipment and software and recovering assets when offboarding.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity deskside and remotely.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure secure access to resources.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats, conducting regular security audits and updates.
- Deploy, configure, and test new hardware and software as required, ensuring compatibility and performance standards.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, including hardware, software, and operating systems, with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and other relevant metrics.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, recommending improvements to the IT environment.
- Work closely with other IT staff, including Data, Applications, and Vendors to ensure cohesive IT operations.
- Participate in IT projects, providing expertise and support for the successful implementation of new technologies.
- Travel to outside offices as needed to support project implementation and resolve escalated support concerns.
- Troubleshoot end user multi-platform/multi-vendor issues deskside and remotely to resolve quickly and efficiently.
- Support 24/7 environment to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance. This will include occasional after-hours and weekend maintenance as well as prompt response to emergencies at any hour.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience with the following technologies:
- O365, Teams/SharePoint, OneDrive, office applications.
- Email security, archiving, backup, recovery, and eDiscovery.
- Windows Server Active Directory, DNS, file/print services, and Azure.
- Endpoint detection and response systems.
- Routers, switching, wireless networking, VLAN, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
- VoIP telephone systems and concepts.
- Remote support tools.
- Minimum 3 years relevant IT experience.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure like Azure or AWS.
- Experience managing Windows servers in a corporate setting.
- Experience with network hardware implementation and administration.
- Experience with essential cybersecurity products, polices, practices and implementation.
- Familiarity with compliance practices and NIST guidelines.
- A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance.
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position will require regular travel to communities.
