Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to provide full-scale IT support for a small-to-medium size business. This position will be on a part-time, as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will provide timely IT technical support, both remotely and onsite in San Diego, CA. This role requires availability for on-call support and involves a hybrid work schedule, with approximately 10%-20% onsite work and 80%-90% remote support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote desktop support and deskside support as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PCs, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Analyze and recommend hardware and software upgrades.
- Implement and troubleshoot outdated servers and deploy new servers.
- Maintain and support Office 365, Apache HTTP Servers, F5 Firewalls, and other critical systems.
- Ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
- Document and maintain IT procedures and configurations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of servers, firewalls, and networks.
- Proficiency with Office 365 administration.
- Experience with Apache HTTP Servers and F5 Firewalls.
- Familiarity with network security practices and protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Availability to respond to on-call requests in a timely manner.
- Located in and willing to work onsite in San Diego, CA as needed.
Schedule:
- Hybrid work schedule: 10%-20% onsite in San Diego, CA, and 80%-90% remote support.
- Part-time hours: 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility for on-call support.
