Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Administrator in New Braunfels, Texas. The role involves managing and maintaining our network systems to ensure optimal performance and security. You will be tasked with handling a variety of responsibilities, including network design and implementation, firewall management, switch administration, and network monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement network designs, ensuring the routing, switching, and firewall configurations meet business requirements and maximize network security.
- Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including rule creation, policy enforcement, and intrusion prevention.
- Oversee the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Juniper switches, including VLANs, port configurations, and link aggregation.
- Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices, including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and incident response procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
- Coordinate with network equipment vendors for support, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Utilize skills in Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in managing Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
- Knowledgeable in Citrix Technologies and Dell Technologies
- Proven experience with Active Directory and Backup Technologies
- Ability to handle Computer Hardware and Configuration Management
- Experience in managing Deployments and Database systems
- Skilled in operating Palo Alto Firewall and Juniper Switches
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
- Relevant detail oriented certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is a plus
- Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job.
