Position Overview
The Vice President, ASCs leads the surgery center division and oversees all business aspects. It will supervise corporate and regional ASC operating teams and manages all staff at the surgery centers.
Geography
Candidates can be located anywhere in the country. This will be a remote role with travel.
Duties And Responsibilities
The VP, ASCs is accountable for developing and executing the strategy for the surgery center business, including:
- Strategic and Operating Planning
- Develop long-term plans to scale the surgery center business
- Conduct annual operating planning to meet business goals
- Make decisions on insourcing vs. outsourcing to support growth
- P&L Ownership & Clinical Operations Management
- Ensure operational excellence across the network, including workflows, staffing, and facility management
- Manage referral and expense management
- Oversee clinical quality programs in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and Compliance
- Manage vendors for outsourced functions
- Partner with various functions for shared services (HR, IT, RCM, Legal & Compliance, Finance & Accounting)
- Governance
- Collaborate with Legal & Compliance to implement governance structures and systems for all surgery center entities
- Management System
- Design and implement a system to drive performance and engagement in management forums (Monthly Operating Reviews, Quarterly Board meetings)
- Growth Planning & Execution
- Lead business development to launch new surgery centers and affiliated physician practices
- Oversee facility development, including de novo centers and acquisitions/conversions
- Manage site stand-up and launch, including licensure, insurance, credentialing, and accreditation
