Job Summary
Manages the operational planning for the department. Manages the information technology employees, project implementation, expansion of services, financial budgeting in support of the organization's mission and vision. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, health care, business, or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- One year healthcare experience: Preferred
- One year leadership experience: Preferred
Essential Functions
- Practices business relationship management to evolve culture, build partnerships and drive value. Collaborates with the leadership of the organization, third-party partners, and directors to develop goals, objectives and operational plans for the department. Rounds at all assigned area sites on a 1-2 week cadence practicing face to face rounding when possible.
- Manages initiatives to meet area goals and objectives within the broad context of the enterprise strategic plan by using performance measurements to guide strategic and operational decision-making. Ensures compliance with quality assurance monitoring of all responsible projects, ensuring correction of any deficiencies in the project's delivery. Manages the annual budget for technology lifecycle and supplies.
- Ensures team compliance with service level agreements with various end-user departments and enterprise business units. Recruits and orients new employees. Disciplines personnel when deems appropriate. Drives a performance culture through appraisals and other coaching.
- Delegates and assigns work to personnel for effective utilization of their skills and to meet business needs. Creates an engaging workplace and encourages others to contribute creative and innovative approaches to achieve continuous improvement. Exercises independent judgment in supervising and responsibly directing assigned staff. Ensures all employees are sufficiently trained to carry out their duties.
- Recommends and manages implementation of opportunities for application rationalization. Ensures compliance with enterprise security, hardware and software standards across all network sites. Manages application on-boarding and innovation efforts.
