Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Information Security, the Director of Information Security will be responsible for the planning, directing, and managing Information Security functions for the protection of company information and systems. The Director of Information Security will develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures to meet Information Security objectives to maintain alignment with regulatory, privacy, and legal compliance. The Director of Information Security will assist in aligning the enterprise security program to meet the objective of the business strategy. The Director of Information Security will assist in providing direction in Information Security strategy and be responsible for the development and implementation of technical solutions that align and support the organizations mission. The Director of Information Security provides direction and guidance for direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Directs Information Security functions for the enterprise.
- Plans, designs, and implements technologies and processes related to Information Security solutions to maintain organization compliance.
- Builds relationships with business and application owners and provides guidance to manage and mitigate risks where needed.
- Makes recommendations to the Senior Director of Information Security for mitigations, acceptance, and other escalations.
- Accountable for ensuring team performs and meets SLA standards.
- Escalate security issues to the Senior Director of Information Security and appropriate leaders.
- Provides effective financial management of annual budget for areas of responsibility, labor, operational, and capital expenditures.
- Implements development plans for employees that will strengthen current and future capabilities and enable them to contribute fully in their job role and the organization
Work Experience
- At least 10 years of Information Security Management (Required)
- IT experience (Preferred)
- At least 5 years of previous leadership experience (Required)
EDUCATION
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Required)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- CISSP (Cyber Security Certification) (Preferred)
- Other Security certifications and training (Preferred)
