Position Summary:
The Litigation Support Analyst will manage eDiscovery projects, provide technical support for litigation software, and ensure efficient handling of electronic documents throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have experience with litigation support software, including Relativity, and a strong understanding of the litigation process. The Litigation Support Analyst will be responsible for managing electronic discovery (eDiscovery) projects, supporting case teams with technology solutions, and ensuring the efficient handling of electronic documents and data throughout the litigation lifecycle.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively in a team environment; as a Litigation Support Analyst, you must thrive under the pressure of strict deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, convert and manipulate data.
- Process and load data into the firm’s review platform and/or database systems.
- Create, export & package ESI data productions.
- Maintenance of all ESI databases.
- Conduct quality checks on all processes done, data received, or data exported.
- Report statistics on quality of data and/or data trends within given sets.
- Assist with the maintenance of the department’s data environment.
- Train users on all necessary aspects of our review platform.
- Assist users with all technical aspects of the firm’s review platform
- Assist with client’s self-collection of ESI data when warranted.
- Trouble-shooting and resolving database issues.
- Maintain physical order of source media and other related materials.
- Assist with software testing and trouble-shooting.
- Inform Director of Litigation Support of project progress and issues.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the litigation process and eDiscovery best practices.
- Excellent technical skills, including database management and data manipulation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of litigation support software and/or review platforms is required with an emphasis on experience with Relativity, Active Learning, and Mobile Data.
- A solid understanding of all Microsoft Office applications, Windows, hardware, networking, and delimited files is required.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter with ability to visualize data and software behavior - and coordinate the two.
- Experience with LAW, Casemap, LiveNote, Trial Director or other litigation document management systems is preferred but not required.
- Trial Support “hot seat” experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of information governance and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of overall/related work experience, preferably in the Legal or E-Discovery industry.
- 2+ years of work experience using Relativity.
