RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Windows Server Management System Administrator in Sierra Vista, AZ.
Essential Job Duties:
- Be a self-motivated system administrator to provide enterprise server support for the Army in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Build and configure Windows-based systems in support of highly visible mission areas
- Proactively and efficiently administer servers using enterprise toolsets such as SCCM, SCOM, etc.
- Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
- As a Windows Server Management System Admin, you will ensure server configuration compliance with DoD and Army regulations
- Document technical troubleshooting efforts
- Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma/GED + 2 years of experience, AA/AS, or BA/BS, to include up to one year of hands-on Windows system administration
- Must have Security+ CE certification prior to hire
- Must acquire one Microsoft certification (70-697, 70-698, MD-100, MD-101, 70-410, 70-411, 70-412, or higher) within 180 days of hire
- Experience with Server 2012 R2 administration
- Experience with physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) systems
- Knowledge of client/server hardware and software configuration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Ability to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems
- Knowledge of networking concepts
- Ability to create and/or modify scripts (batch, PowerShell)
- Ability to document technical troubleshooting efforts
- Proficiency with Windows Active Directory services
- Familiarity with McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)
- Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
- Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Knowledge of DISA STIGs and IAVAs
- Be able to effectively communicate with team members and customers
- Ability to work independently and as a team member; Set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
