Position Summary
The Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) will be a key member of the senior team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's IT operations. This includes strategic planning, implementation, and management of technology initiatives that align with the company's goals. The VP of IT will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other executives to integrate technology into the company’s strategic plans.
- IT Infrastructure and Operations:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the security of the company’s data and IT systems through robust cybersecurity measures.
- Manage IT resources, including budgeting, staffing, and vendor relationships.
- Innovation and Technology Development:
- Identify and implement new technologies that provide a competitive advantage.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Monitor and assess emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project management methodologies and best practices.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection laws.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate IT strategies and initiatives to the Executive Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and deliver effective IT solutions.

Qualifications And Minimum Requirements
(List the minimum education and/or experience necessary to fulfill this position.)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading IT strategy and operations in a middle market, for-profit company.
- Experience with digital transformation and managing large-scale IT projects.
Computer / Technical Skills / Job Specific Skills
- Experience with Sophos, Okta, Meraki and Azure a major plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical/Mental Requirements
- Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/workstation and respond to written and oral cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- May be required to bend, reach and lift to 25 lbs.
