A challenging and rewarding role for an expert in public and private cloud environment with strong leadership and communication skills to implement and deliver solutions to our portfolio companies reporting to the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO).
Overview
- As the SVP - Hybrid Cloud Architecture and Delivery, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing hybrid cloud solutions for our clients using on premise as well cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- You will oversee the data center management, network administration, and cloud automation services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the infrastructure.
- You will work closely with the software engineering teams, providing guidance and support on software engineering standards and tools, and ensuring alignment with the cloud strategy and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the multiyear approach for the data center refresh. This is inclusive of end-of-life cycle management, modernization of the on-premises stack and evolving needs of the clients.
- Partnering with the platform services team, develop hybrid cloud architectures and solutions, using best practices and industry standards, and following the client's requirements and objectives.
- Design, manage and maintain all on premise locations with a focus on automation and scalability.
- Lead the teams on deploying and configuring cloud and K8s platforms for portfolio companies based on their specific business requirements.
- Lead the integration of core platforms with existing systems with the portfolio companies ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability between system.
- Facilitate onboarding of new companies onto the platform services.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for deployed solutions handling incident management and troubleshooting.
- Implement monitoring solutions to track performance and usage. Generate reports for stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Ensure deployed solutions adhere to security policies and compliance requirements.
- Manage and monitor the data center operations, network administration, and cloud automation services, using tools and frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Nagios.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud engineering teams, and collaborate with the software engineering teams, to ensure alignment and integration of the cloud solutions and the software applications.
- Communicate and present hybrid cloud solutions and project status to the stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of HPC is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern technology applications such as GPU as a service
- Experience in data center as a service is a plus
- At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, data center management, network administration, and cloud engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in hybrid cloud architecture and delivery, using Azure and AWS platforms.
- Strong knowledge and skills in cloud technologies, such as virtualization, networking, storage, security, automation, and orchestration.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams, and to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications in Azure and AWS are preferred.
