The IT Systems Manager is responsible for the maintenance and optimization of essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, email systems, backups, servers, storage, telephony, video, and end-user hardware/software. This role will take ownership of critical IT projects and solutions that support broader business objectives, enabling faster, smarter processes and delivering analytics for meaningful insights. The IT Systems Manager is a key player in ensuring dependable infrastructure and seamless networking, while collaborating with stakeholders to communicate project updates and milestones.
Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of systems, including servers, storage, telephony, video, virtualization, and networking infrastructure.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware components, software applications, and virtualization environments while integrating automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, documenting problems, and prioritizing solutions based on business impact.
• Manage both on-premise and cloud-based Active Directory environments.
• Perform database administration and web server management (IIS, Apache), ensuring smooth operation and security.
• Provide detailed documentation and technical specifications for planning and executing infrastructure upgrades.
• Manage local area networks (LANs) and software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) links across facilities.
• Oversee regular backup operations and implement processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Effectively and proactively manage asset inventory and refresh cycles.
• Serve as Tier 3+ support, managing escalated help desk issues and supporting troubleshooting efforts across systems and software.
• Ensure system capacity and storage planning meet organizational needs, while optimizing system performance.
• Supervise Help Desk Technicians and Systems Administrators, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Participate in or lead additional IT duties or projects as required.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ Years of systems administration experience within an enterprise Windows domain environment, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Azure.
• 5+ Years of network administration experience.
• 3+ Years of database and web server administration experience.
• 3+ Years of Azure/Microsoft 365 administration experience (Exchange, Teams, etc.).
• 3+ Years of experience managing Hyper-V environments.
• 3+ Years of supervisory experience within IT operations.
• 1+ Year of experience with scripting or automation tools.
• 1+ Year of experience managing cloud computing resources in Azure.

• Reliable transportation is required for supporting multiple facilities.
