We are representing a rapidly growing consumer product organization who is actively seeking a Vice President of Sales due to a recently announced retirement. Reporting to the President, this Global Manufacturing organization has a diverse portfolio of consumer staples having experienced double digit revenue growth over (5) consecutive years while improving their EBIT.
The President is looking to begin the interview process ASAP and is targeting a candidate well versed leading a Direct Sales team in addition to having exposure dealing with Manufacturers Reps.
NOTE: This will be an "in-office" position. There is not a remote option available. Relocation is available.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading a team of (5) inclusive of Sales Directors (Regional), and National Account Directors.
- While leading a robust team of Sales Leaders, the Vice President of Sales will be tasked with growing revenue. This is very much a customer facing (hunter/business development) position. It is critical that the ideal candidate understands that this is not solely a "people leadership" position.
- Candidate should have strong Operations/Financial acumen, the Vice President of Sales will be a KEY member of the Executive leadership team. This is very much a BUSINESS PARTNER position (vs resource) where collaboration and synergy is critical!
- Candidate will work to enhance/develop existing KPI's for maximum efficiency.
- Candidate is expected to travel as needed (tradeshows, customer meetings, domestic/international distributors, etc...
POSITON REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred for consideration. Advanced Degree (MBA, etc..) would be considered a plus.
- Candidate should possess at least 5 years of experiencing "leading" an organizations "SALES STRATEGY."
- Candidate should exhibit a history of driving revenue through new business development efforts.
- Strong Operational/Financial Acumen
COMPENSATION:
- There will be a very handsome variable compensation component to this position that can be 100% of base compensation ($400k total comp)
